Meet Chandler

LMSW

I am Chandler Ross, a Licensed Master Social Worker, a husband, and dad to a beautiful boy. I’ve been in 12 step recovery for over 20 years. I’ve always had a heart for my own story and the story of others.

In 2018 I found Dr. Dodd’s work and quickly started integrating it into my own recovery. My story coupled with the eight feelings shifted from being scrambled and fuzzy to clear and focused. Feelings that had been feared were revealed to actually be helpful navigational tools. I still live life on life’s terms but I haven’t felt a sense of being adrift since this work has reconnected my heart to my brain.

I have worked in residential treatment centers for addiction recovery, outreach shelters for youths experiencing housing instability, and for Big Brother Big Sisters of Middle TN. I graduated from the University of Tennessee Social Work Program with my masters and trauma treatment certificate. I’m continuing my education with Somex Somatic Trauma training from the Experiential Healing Center in Memphis, TN where we work with how the body stores traumatic imprints.

I have years of experience leading different group therapies and I enjoy galvanizing the healing communities of places I attend. I’m open and willing to treat not just individuals but family systems as well.

I regularly see men, women, and families who:

  • Feel lost or a sense of disconnection from their lives.

  • Are experiencing addiction or are in a relationship with someone who is in addiction.

  • Experience current difficulty from past trauma or an overwhelming event.

  • Are grieving the loss of someone, something, or a season of life.

  • Particularly complicated grief of someone or something lost that had difficult feelings attached to it.

  • People who need help navigating change and transition in their lives.

Groups I Serve Regularly:

  • Men seeking recovery of their heart.

  • Adolescents feeling disconnected from family and life.

  • Women who are processing their family of origin story.
