The Voice of the Heart Center is a newly established counseling and consulting provider with an already respected and seasoned team.
We are actively seeking an honest, compassionate, and dedicated professional counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist to join our team. We offer our services to residents in Middle Tennessee as well as individuals around the globe.
At the Voice of the Heart Center, our work is grounded in the Spiritual Root System (SRS), a guiding philosophy pioneered by Dr. Chip Dodd. This approach allows us to explore and deepen our understanding of feelings, needs, desires, longings, and hopes so that we, and our clients, can fully participate in life. The SRS deepens and pairs with any theory or modality you are trained in, and we value and encourage ongoing training for sharp clinical skills.
Dr. Dodd will be an important presence in our office for staff trainings, workshops for our clients, and mentorship.

We believe in the treatment team approach for both clinical and personal reasons. We care about our clients too much to do this work alone when a team approach has better outcomes for the client’s health and long-term clinician engagement.

Our center specializes in helping professionals, entrepreneurs, and other types of leaders and their families live fully, love deeply, and lead well. We see a diversity of clients beyond this specialty as well.
Community for our Clients
When we take on new clients, we welcome them to the VOTH community. Our team approach naturally leads to an inbuilt network where clients meet other clients in weekly groups, workshops, and in the 12 step support groups in which we have cultivated numerous relationships. Recovery of heart can increase loneliness, so a main clinical focus is creating opportunities for clients to meet others in a recovery process.

Dr. Colton Shannon is the owner of the VOTHC. After speaking with Hannah and reading your resume, he will email you to set up a phone or in person visit to our center.
