Join Colton Shannon, Ph.D. for a one hour workshop to help your clients understand their patterns in relationships.
*This is an workshop for licensed clinicians only*
Do you want to help your clients feel courageous and calm in their relationships? Do you want to help them explore and understand how to struggle well with those they care about?
Codependency is a word used when we struggle to have our own sense of self while in relationship with others. The word can be thrown around as a weapon or a simplistic label, but this workshop invites you to consider your own codependency patterns so you can help those you serve better understand their own patterns. Join us for a one hour workshop to explore how to have freedom for yourself so you can give more fully to those you love.
In this workshop, we will dive deep into our the human need for connection with other people, and how the deep roots of codependency patterns become a block to connect with others honestly. We will use teaching, discussion groups, and individual assessments.
What sets this workshop apart is our commitment to truly relate and interact with you. We keep the workshop at 8 participants or less so everyone is acknowledged as often as they want to be. Also, you can show up to listen and not vocally engage – this is your workshop so make it your own.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Recognize codependent relationship patterns in clients as a therapeutic intervention point;
Interpret characteristics of codependency and control in a non-judgmental stance by having open questions for the client related to the function of the codependency; and
Identify codependency patterns in themselves and others by engaging in discussion and taking individual assessments.
